Our Language Proficiency Assessment test is aligned with the CEFR scale, an international standard for describing language proficiency that is organized into six levels from A1 (beginner) to C2 (mastery) (A0 to C1). Who is the test for?
The Workplace Languages Language Proficiency Assessment is available for students in our onsite and online training programs. Corporations may also purchase assessment licenses in bulk for their own use.
How soon are results available?
Results are available within 24 hours of submission. Recordings and responses can be reviewed by certified Workplace Languages administrators upon request for quality assurance or institutional requirements.
How is the test used?
As part of a language training program, clients may choose to administer a pre-test, post-test, or both, depending on their program needs. Test licenses can be purchased in advance or added to a class package at any time.
How much does the test cost?
The test is available at a discounted rate of $20 per test as part of a Workplace Languages online or in-person language training program. When not part of a program, our language proficiency assessment is $30 per test.

How can students access the test?
When you purchase test licenses, Workplace Languages will email each student a unique test link.
When can the students take the test?
Students who are part of a Workplace Languages training program may complete the test at any time.
- Independently: Students receive a test link by email and can complete the assessment on their own time before the first class.
- During a Site Visit: Instructors can guide students to take the test during their on-site visit.
- During Class: Some employers prefer students take the test during class time, supervised by the instructor. The post-test will be administered during the last class.
Who can access the test results?
Program administrators will have full access to all student results and performance data. Our WPL testing team provides online support and is committed to resolving any technical issues that may arise.

Format: 30 multiple choice questions

Listening

Format: 15 multiple choice
- 3 audio clips (5 questions each)
Speaking
Time: 5 minutes
Format: 3 tasks scored on pronunciation, grammar, vocabulary, fluency
