Allegra Vallina

Language Training Coordinator

Allegra was adopted from China by Cuban parents and raised in Miami, Florida. She grew up in a bilingual and multicultural environment, speaking English and Spanish at home. Allegra double majored at the University of South Florida, with a B.A. in English and a B.S. in Public Relations and Advertising. She also has a minor in Spanish. Allegra didn’t think she would pursue education, but after a year of teaching abroad in Spain, she fell in love with ESOL as a career. She loves to incorporate her media and design knowledge into her work. Currently, she teaches for Miami-Dade County Public Schools and is a language training coordinator for Workplace Languages. In her free time, she loves reading, traveling, and photography.
